August 2004 Call statistics released.


CREWE, Va (September 28, 2004) - The Nottoway County Emergency Squad announced today that its members ran a total of 153 calls during the Month of August 2004. This total represents 11,672 miles driven including 3,329 patient miles. 405 Gallons of fuel were used and members contributed a total of 656 person hours during the month. Of the 153 calls, 54 patients were transported to Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, 10 to Community Memorial in South Hill, 8 to Southside Regional in Petersburg, and 13 were transported to Chippenham, 11 to Johnston-Willis, 1 to Maguire and 1 to MCV, all in Richmond. Additionally, 10 calls were cancelled, 41 were comprised of patient refusals while the disposition of the remaining 4 were for patients treated but not transported, no patient found, stand-bys or other "miscellaneous" reasons.

August brings the total number of calls run by The Nottoway County Emergency Squad to 1,185 for the year consisting of 79,587 miles, 26,705 patient miles, with a total of 7,194 person hours contributed by its members.

During 2003, The Nottoway County Emergency Squad ran a total of 1,727 calls covering 40,004 patient miles with members contributing a total of 9,398 person hours.
