November & December 2004 Call statistics released.


CREWE, Va (Jan 04, 2004) - The Nottoway County Emergency Squad announced today that its members ran a total of 152 calls during the Month of November 2004. This total represents 9,953 miles driven including 3,371 patient miles. 396.2 Gallons of fuel were used and members contributed a total of 733 person hours during the month. Of the 152 calls, 72 patients were transported to Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, 14 to Community Memorial in South Hill, 7 to Southside Regional in Petersburg, and 6 were transported to Chippenham, 7 to Johnston-Willis, 3 to MCV and 1 to Henrico Doctors, all in Richmond. Additionally, 8 calls were cancelled, 28 were comprised of patient refusals while the disposition of the remaining 6 were for patients treated but not transported, no patient found, stand-bys or other "miscellaneous" reasons.

Additionally, its members ran a total of 135 calls during the Month of December 2004. This total represents 9,088 miles driven including 3,384 patient miles. 421.2 Gallons of fuel were used and members contributed a total of 747 person hours during the month. Of the 135 calls, 62 patients were transported to Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, 13 to Community Memorial in South Hill, 4 to Southside Regional in Petersburg, 3 were released to Med Flight and 9 were transported to Chippenham, 10 to Johnston-Willis, and 4 to MCV, all in Richmond. Additionally, 7 calls were cancelled, 14 were comprised of patient refusals while the disposition of the remaining 9 were for patients treated but not transported, no patient found, stand-bys or other "miscellaneous" reasons.

November and December brings the total number of calls run by The Nottoway County Emergency Squad to 1,751 for the year consisting of 113,794 miles, 39,378 patient miles, with a total of 9,935 person hours contributed by its members.

During 2004, 806 patients were transported to Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, 105 to Community Memorial in South Hill, 72 to Southside Regional in Petersburg, 12 were released to Medflight, and 92 were transported to Chippenham, 112 to Johnston-Willis, 20 to MCV, 5 to St. Mary's, 3 to Henrico Doctors, and 6 to Maguires, all in Richmond. Additionally, 87 calls were cancelled, 281 were for patient refusals while the disposition of the remaining 150 calls were for patients treated but not transported, no patient found, stand-bys or other "miscellaneous" reasons. During 2003, The Nottoway County Emergency Squad ran a total of 1,727 calls covering 40,004 patient miles with members contributing a total of 9,398 person hours.
