July 2004 Call statistics released.


CREWE, Va (August 25, 2004) - The Nottoway County Emergency Squad announced today that its members ran a total of 141 calls during the Month of July 2004. This total represents 8,774 miles driven including 3,307 patient miles. 560 Gallons of fuel were used and members contributed a total of 815 person hours during the month. Of the 141 calls, 70 patients were transported to Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, 3 to Community Memorial in South Hill, 8 to Southside Regional in Petersburg, 1 was transferred to MedFlight and 9 were transported to Chippenham, 9 to Johnston-Willis, and 4 to MCV, all in Richmond. Additionally, 2 calls were cancelled, 21 were comprised of patient refusals while the disposition of the remaining 14 were for patients treated but not transported, no patient found, stand-bys or other "miscellaneous" reasons.

July brings the total number of calls run by The Nottoway County Emergency Squad to 1,032 for the year consisting of 67,915 miles, 23,376 patient miles, with a total of 6,538 person hours contributed by its members.

During 2003, The Nottoway County Emergency Squad ran a total of 1,727 calls covering 40,004 patient miles with members contributing a total of 9,398 person hours.
