March 2004 Call statistics released.
CREWE, Va (April 03, 2004) - The Nottoway County Emergency Squad announced today that its members ran a total of 162 calls
during the Month of March 2004. This total represents 11,584 miles driven including 3,502 patient miles. 604 Gallons of
fuel were used and members contributed a total of 1,101 person hours during the month. Of the 162 calls, 67 patients were
transported to Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, 12 to Community Memorial in South Hill, 5 to Southside Regional in
Petersburg, 1 was released to Med Flight and 6 were transported to Chippenham, 13 to Johnston-Willis, 2 to MCV, and 1 to St. Mary's,
all in Richmond. Additionally, 10 calls were cancelled, 23 were comprised of patient refusals while the disposition of the remaining 22 were
for patients treated but not transported, no patient found, stand-bys or other "miscellaneous" reasons.
March brings the total number of calls run by The Nottoway County Emergency Squad to 466 for the year consisting of 30,233
miles, 10,411 patient miles, with a total of 3,150 person hours contributed by its members.
During 2003, The Nottoway County Emergency Squad ran a total of 1,727 calls covering 40,004 patient miles with members contributing
a total of 9,398 person hours.
