9-1-1 is an emergency telephone number that provides IMMEDIATE access to LAW ENFORCEMENT, FIRE, and EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.
9-1-1 is a FREE call from any pay phone.
Call 9-1-1 to report a Crime, Fire, Heart Attack, or other Serious Medical Condition or Injury, or any situation requiring the IMMEDIATE response of a FIRE TRUCK, AMBULANCE, or LAW ENFORCEMENT VEHICLE.
What the 9-1-1 Dispatcher will need to know:
The location of the emergency.
The phone number where the emergency is.
The nature of the emergency.
IMPORTANT: STAY CALM. SPEAK CLEARLY. STAY ON THE TELEPHONE UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD TO HANG UP.
Road/Travel/Severe Weather Information.
Household/Auto Repairs including but not limited to locked keys in vehicles
Complaints of loud noise, littering, etc.
